Anytime I talk to someone that attended our wedding, they always ALWAYS mention how
fantastic the food was. And it was! We actually weren't prepared for how fresh and delicious
everything was going to be. Nancy and John set up a grill just outside the reception area
and cooked for us and our guests the best tasting salmon, steak and grilled vegetables
we've ever had. The icing on the cake was the amazing service we got from them and their
staff. They treated us (the bride and groom) like royalty and were on top of everything:
assisting my cake maker, my MC, my coordinator. Simply fantastic service and
exquisite food!

It’s hard to find the exact words that we feel towards you, Bird of Paradise, and everything you have done for us. Our wedding is in just under three weeks, and knowing that we have you as our chefs has put our minds at ease -- at a time where everything is coming down to the wire, you are the one vendor that we know we can count on.
Nancy, when we first sat down with you and Jon brought out the first of our tasting... we all looked around the table and knew we would be going with Bird of Paradise. Not only was your food delicious, but you (and Jon!) had real passion, personality and spirit. We could tell that you poured everything you had into each event you put on... and to us that is what mattered most. At a wedding you want everyone there to have the right chemistry and energy and we felt lucky to have met with you (as we had gone to a few other tastings in the area that didn’t have that feeling AT ALL.)
We also very much appreciate that you grow your own vegetables and use them in many of your dishes. The flavor is incredible!
We can’t wait for our wedding (to eat our dinner!) and to see your smiling faces on such an important day in our lives. You guys are the BEST!

From the minute we first met Nancy, Stacey and I had confidence that Bird of Paradise catering would do a great job. Not only did you do a great job on the food, you delighted everyone with your exceptional service. Your team was friendly, kind and every single one of them seemed to really enjoy taking care of us.
The welcome party at the beach on Friday night was perfect. Your brilliant idea to have hot clam chowder and chili in bread bowls was perfect–and it was as though you arranged for the cool, foggy weather to go with the dinner. Everyone loved the coolness since most guests came from 100 degree weather.
The wedding itself was flawless and there were raves about the “fresh, California cuisine”. You even corrected the one tiny error by the rental company of too tall cocktail table poles so that it went unnoticed. Your homegrown heirloom tomatoes and grilled vegetables were amazing!
Nancy, you are a dream to work with and the fact that you listened carefully to help us create the theme of “casual elegance” is so appreciated. We are getting phone calls and written messages telling us it was the best wedding ever and you were a central part of making that happen.

We cannot begin to thank you for the outstanding catering you provided for Michael and Lauren's wedding in September. It was, unequivocally, a delicious event.
The quality, freshness, creativity, abundance and presentation of the food were simply the best! Our guests commented on it at the time and continue to do so whenever we see them…two months after the wedding! The breakfast set up and food was also lovely, the nicest we have experienced at the many weddings we have attended.
In addition to all of this, Michael and Lauren, along with her mother, really enjoyed working with you and felt comfortable from the very beginning.
